Reddit is honestly annoying the life out of me. I like posting things there and i feel like i'm able to reach out a lot of very interesting people that i wouldn't be able to on twitter or insta. But the mods and the ideas they have are... very weird.
I honestly understand it at least partly. I get that there are a lot of 18+ models who dress up in simple characters and then try to use big subreddits to promo themselves and it's really really weird.
I am an erotic content creator too. But a lot of my costumes i do myself. It's corsetry, it's makeup, it's costumes, lingerie. Some of it is bought/ordered. But a lot of it is done by me myself and i. And whenever someone was hired they are always tagged on my insta because i always give people their flowers.
I don't understand why i can't share any of the things i do basically anywhere because it's being taken as a 'just another OF advertisement'. OF is a way for me to get support from my fans, yes. But that's not the only thing i do and that is not my main income. I do have a shop where i do custom made costumes for other people. I have my own workshop room where i create things. It's SO WEIRD that on reddit other people can post my content and get their upvotes, rewards and interactions, while if i do it it's 'selfpromo' 'OF ad' and i get banned like... I genuinely don't understand it. I partly blame OF agencies that are using cosplay as a way to reach new audiences for their models and then just make their models do stuff that they were never interested in and it clearly translates. But honestly i've been doing this for years. I've been in the geek community for more than 10 years. Making content, creating cosplay. I did cosplay way before you could monetize it in any way or shape or form because that's what i am passionate about. I found new ways to express myself through erotic cosplay photoshoots as well and thankfuly people enjoy it too! And i am sad that my creativeness, my love for cosplay is all being diminished by the fact that i have a platform for my followers to support me and what i do.
I posted my Holli Would cosplay on Reddit recently. It got A LOT of upvotes and interested people (20k+)
They blocked it because it's 'self promo' like i am confused by their rules cause it really feels like you can't post anything you do cause it's self promo lmfao.
I just want to clarify to my followers that:
Many of my costumes i do myself. Not everything. But i am very proud of my corsetry skills for example.
I don't have an agency. I have people who help me with editing and taking photos. With advices on how to promo, where to go, etc. But i don't work with an agency because i don't like agencies. I think it's scammy in a way.
Anyways, thanks for reading everyone. I am very sad about that situation but i am not sure i'm going to be able to do anything. The judgement is disappointing but to be honest not that surprising. I am thankful for my supporters and hope to make you excited and proud with things that are going to come soon as well!
