Sexology and the Internet: friend or foe? ๐ง ๐ฒ
Guys, I'll be honest - most of us first learned about "sex" not from a conversation with our parents, but from the Internet. Or from conversations with the same guys who also learned about it... from the Internet ๐
Today, the web is both a treasure trove of knowledge and a source of myths. As a sexologist, I see this every day.
Here's how it is:
๐ธ Pros of the Internet:
Access to information - fast, free, convenient
You can find really useful resources, learn about physiology, desires, boundaries, pleasure
People start talking about sex openly - it's cool and important
๐ธ But there are also cons:
Pornography often creates unrealistic expectations (sizes, roles, "shoulds")
A lot of fake "advice" that has nothing to do with reality
Men start comparing themselves to screen images and feel guilty, anxious or "incompetent"
๐ฌ What to do?
Be critical. Learn to filter. And if you want to understand more deeply - you can read sexologists (yes, people like me), ask questions, and get to know yourself for real.
Sexology is not a "science about women" or "how to become an alpha". This is about you - about your body, psychology, confidence, relationships and pleasure, in which both are comfortable.
๐And how did the Internet influence your ideas about sex? Was there anything that you had to rethink later?
Write in the comments - we'll figure it out together.
