This is also why people with childhood trauma and CPTSD are more prone to generalized anxiety disorder, life-long depression struggles and are easily swept up into abusive relationships and/or cult-like socializing. Your sense of self keeps you grounded and nervous systems regulated. Without it, you’re just running around like a chicken with its head cut off.
