

A variation of the single leg stretch, Janu Shirasana. This is a more advanced variation done by lifting the leg up and securing it behind your shoulder. With this variation, you are also getting a stretch through the back and a chest opener. An integral aspect of any posture & every posture is the gaze or drishti meaning one pointed focus. In this posture, the drishti in intended to be upward in order to find a lightness and lift in your body as well as maintaining openness in your throat.
